ကမ္ဘာ့နိုင်ငံအသီးသီး၌ရောက်ရှိ သီတင်းသုံးနေကြသော မြန်မာထေရဝါဒရဟန်းတော်များအားလုံးကို ကိုယ်စားပြုရာ ပရဒေသီသံဃအဖွဲ့ကို ၁၉၈၁ ခုနှစ်မှာ Myanmar Buddhist Sangha Council of India အမည်ဖြင့် စတင်ဖွဲ့စည်းကာ၊ ၁၉၉၂ ခုနှစ်နှင့် ၂၀၀၁ ခုနှစ်တို့တွင် ပြင်ဆင်ဖွဲ့စည်းခဲ့ပြီး ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ်တွင် အဖွဲ့ကြီး၏ဥက္ကဌဆရာတော်နေရာလစ်လပ်သွားသဖြင့် စတုတ္ထအကြိမ် ပြန်လည်ဖွဲ့စည်းရန် အတွက် သာသာနာရေးနှင့် ယဉ်ကျေးမှုဝန်ကြီးဌာန၊ မြန်မာသံရုံး၊ နယူးဒေလီမြို့၊ မြန်မာ ကောင်စစ်ဝန်ချုပ်ရုံး၊ ကော်ကတ္တားမြို့နှင့် အိန္ဒိယနိုင်ငံတစ်ဝန်းလုံးရှိ မြန်မာများကျောင်းမှ ဆရာတော်၊ သံဃာတော်များ စုပေါင်းတိုင်ပင်ဆွေးနွေးကြသည့် အစည်းအဝေးဖြစ်ပါသည်။
His Excellency U Zaw Oo, the Ambassador of Myanmar to the Republic of India, attends the meeting on the fourth reformation of the Myanmar Buddhist Sangha Council of India, which was held at the Myanmar Monastery in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India.

The meeting was presided over by the Vice Chairman of the Myanmar Buddhist Sangha Council of India, the esteemed Abbot of Kushinagar Myanmar Monastery, Agga Maha Pandita, Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru, Dr. Bhaddanta Ñyarnithara. Also in attendance were revered monks and abbots, nuns from various Myanmar monasteries, Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, U Aye Tun, Myanmar Ambassador to India, U Zaw Oo, Director General of the Department for the Promotion and Propagation of the Sasana, U Soe Min Tun, Consul General of Myanmar in Kolkata, U Aung Aung Myo Thein, and other dignitaries.
The Myanmar Buddhist Sangha Council of India was first established in 1981, representing Theravāda Buddhist monks residing across different countries. The council underwent restructuring in 1992 and 2001. However, as the position of the Chief Abbot of the organization remained vacant since 2021, fourth reformation effort has been implemented by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, in collaboration with the Myanmar Embassy in New Delhi, the Consulate-General of Myanmar in Kolkata, and the abbots and monks from various Myanmar monasteries across India.
